Our Philosophy
Clinically Informed. Professionally Structured. Intentionally Accountable.
Transcend Supportive Living provides structured supportive housing in Houston for adults in early recovery or step-down living who benefit from accountability, routine, and a stable home environment. We bridge the gap between treatment and independent living through recovery-focused structure, mentorship, and high standards of conduct, delivered with discretion, privacy, and consistency.

Why We’re Different
Transcend is supportive housing for people who need more than a safe place to stay. We are built for the transition period where risk is often highest, structure matters most, and accountability protects progress.
Our homes operate with clear routines, written expectations, and consistent leadership. We emphasize independence, daily responsibility, and recovery focused living in an elevated, discreet environment.
With appropriate consent, we coordinate with outpatient providers and families to support aftercare alignment, expectations, and stability. We maintain standards that protect residents who are serious about recovery, stability, and long term change.

Leadership Commitment
”Supportive housing should be structured, ethical, and accountable. Our role is to protect recovery during the transition into real life, and to help people rebuild stability with dignity.

Who We Accept
Transcend is a fit for adults who are clinically stable enough for supportive housing and motivated to live in a structured environment. Many residents come to us after treatment, during step down from PHP or IOP, or when families need a higher accountability option than traditional sober living.
Common fit profiles
- Adults stepping down from residential, PHP, or IOP
- Chronic relapse patterns needing more structure
- Professionals who require privacy and accountability
- Young adults needing life structure and independence skills
- Individuals managing co-occurring mental health concerns who are stable and actively engaged with outpatient care
- People in early recovery who benefit from mentorship, routine, and accountability
Not a fit
- Anyone needing medical detox or 24 hour nursing care
- Active psychosis, unmanaged mania, or current risk of self-harm
- Current violent behavior or credible threats to others
- Unstable medical conditions requiring inpatient monitoring
- Individuals unwilling to follow house standards, routine, or substance free expectations
If you are unsure whether Transcend is the right level of care, our leadership team will help you evaluate fit and, when needed, coordinate a higher level placement first. Call (281) 205-0918 for a confidential consultation.
Levels of Support

Traditional Sober Living
Peer-led housing with basic expectations. Structure and oversight vary significantly by home.
Transcend Supportive Housing

Clinical Residential Care

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions from families, clinicians, and referring professionals.
What is supportive housing vs sober living?
Supportive housing typically includes more structure, written standards, and leadership oversight. Sober living is often peer led with less consistent programming. Transcend is designed for step down, early recovery stability, and accountability.
Do you accept dual diagnosis?
We consider individuals with co-occurring mental health concerns when they are stable and actively engaged with outpatient care. Transcend is supportive housing, and we coordinate with outside providers (with consent) to support continuity and expectations.
Do residents work or attend school while living at Transcend?
Yes. Our structure is built to support real life responsibilities including work, school, and family commitments, while maintaining recovery focused expectations.
How do you coordinate with treatment providers?
With appropriate consent, we align expectations with outpatient clinicians and aftercare plans to support continuity and reduce relapse risk during transition.
What happens if someone relapses?
Safety and accountability come first. We assess the situation and determine next steps, which may include increased structure requirements, coordination with outpatient providers (with consent), and referral to a higher level of care when appropriate.
How quickly can someone move in?
Openings vary. If we can confirm fit and complete screening, move in can often happen quickly. Call (281) 205-0918 to discuss timing and options.
Is Transcend private and discreet?
Yes. We prioritize resident privacy and maintain clear boundaries around confidentiality and communication.
Is Transcend a treatment program or a licensed medical facility?
Transcend is supportive housing, not a licensed medical or clinical treatment facility. Residents must be appropriate for a structured residential environment. If someone needs detox or inpatient stabilization, we will help coordinate the appropriate placement first.
